Vishay embeds rigorous environmental, health, and safety (EHS) stewardship across its global operations to protect people, communities, and the planet while driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
We provide safe, healthy workplaces by integrating safety, health, and environmental protection into all business activities, reducing workplace risks through recognized controls, and training employees and contractors to operate responsibly.
The company maintains robust environmental safeguards — minimizing energy and material use, managing hazardous materials and waste responsibly, and sustaining emergency preparedness at all subsidiaries — underpinned by systematic management systems and regular performance targets.
We promote sound environmental, health, and safety principles and practices by encouraging open communication with employees, government agencies, suppliers, contractors, customers, and industry groups.
The company audits each facility on a continuous basis and monitors key EHS measurements for compliance with our goals for employee health and safety, resource use reduction, recycling, waste reduction, and the avoidance of non-compliance incidents.
Vishay recognizes the potential environmental issues caused by the use of restricted substances and has an active program to reduce or, where possible, eliminate Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Our Product Environmental Compliance Program, which includes a large bill of materials database for our products, keeps us current with international regulatory and customer material requirements.
